MISSION The mission of the Japan History Council of New York and the Digital Museum of the History of Japanese in New York is to collect, preserve, document, and share the history of Japanese and Japanese American communities in New York and the surrounding region. Through digital exhibitions, archival preservation, research, public programs, and community collaboration, we seek to make this history accessible to the public, honor the lives and contributions of those who came before us, and pass their stories on to future generations.
