LINK TO RECORDING This public event was co-sponsored by the Digital Museum of the History of Japanese in New York and the Japan America Society of Greater Philadelphia. Featuring guest speakers Thomas Burkman, Teresa Maebori, Ed Nakawatase, and Kathleen Paulmier, the conversation covered prominent historical figures from within the Society of Friends and their contributions to historical development in Japan, as well as current Quakers from within the Japanese American community. The event was hosted by Center for East Asian Studies at the University of Pennsylvania. and took place on March 23, 2023.
