Miwako “Monica” Miya (1921–2009) was a Japanese American journalist and university administrator. During World War II, she was incarcerated with her family at the Heart Mountain concentration camp, where she wrote the column “Mo’s Scratchpad” for the Heart Mountain Sentinel. She later moved to New York and served as Associate Dean of Student Affairs at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism until her retirement in 1993.
