The First Airmail Sent from Japan Across the Pacific Ocean

A letter from the Asahi Shimbun owner to the New York Times owner. Arrived in the US mainland with an adventurer who tried to fly across the Pacific Ocean. It was the first airmail. Postmarks from both Japan and the United States are stamped. Envelope photos and articles published in the New York Times in-house newsletter.
