JNTO’s First Overseas Office Opens in New Yorkfice

Year: 1952

The first overseas office of the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) was established by the Japanese government in New York City. Back in 1952, JNTO’s first office was located at Rockefeller Center. Coincidentally, the first-ever passenger jet also began service that same year. These images were organized by JNTO for the 60th anniversary of the New York office. 1. The entrance of JNTO’s Rockefeller Center office in 1952. 2.
