Dr. Sabro Emy was an anesthesia expert. Born in Japan, he came to the U.S. in 1906 and received his medical degree from Bellevue Hospital Medical College in 1922. He interned at Bellevue, where he later taught anesthesiology and helped develop the application of spinal anesthesia. A veteran of World War I and World War II, he was active in the Japanese-American Society and Japan Society.
